renewable energy sector, playing a pivotal role in the Large Scale Solar (LSS) program
spearheaded by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga). The LSS program, introduced
to increase the country’s solar energy capacity, has seen significant involvement from Voltake in
various stages of its projects, contributing to the success of numerous solar farms across
Malaysia.
Since the inception of the LSS initiative, Voltake has been a critical player in multiple projects,
ranging from LSS1 to LSS4. These projects involve the development and management
of large-scale solar farms, with capacities starting from 1 MWac to over 100 MWac, aimed at
contributing towards Malaysia’s renewable energy targets. Voltake’s involvement has spanned
across the lifecycle of these solar plants, from engineering, procurement, and construction
(EPC) to operations and maintenance (O&M).
Voltake’s expertise in Operation Maintenance Performance (OMP) has enabled them to
optimize the performance and efficiency of these solar farms, ensuring the plants meet their
energy generation goals while maintaining compliance with the Power Purchase Agreements
(PPA) set by the Energy Commission. This includes managing small FIT (Feed-in Tariff) 1 MWac
solar farms, as well as large-scale projects like LSS1 (10 MWac), and more recently, the
massive LSS3 and LSS4 plants with capacities exceeding 100 MWac.
The company’s contributions include plant performance analysis, IV curve testing, and daily operations management, all of which are critical to ensuring that the solar plants consistently
operate at their maximum potential. Voltake’s partnerships with leading EPCC contractors and
system suppliers have also ensured smooth project execution and compliance with industry
