Voltake Energy Services Sdn. Bhd. embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)

In 2021, Voltake Energy Services Sdn. Bhd. embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration with
Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) under the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) initiative
by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). The partnership was formalized with the handover of
an official project notification letter by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad to Voltake Energy
Services

Customized Semi-Automated IoT-based Portable Solar Panel Cleaning

The project, named Customized Semi-Automated IoT-based Portable Solar Panel Cleaning,
valued at RM60,000, is led by Associate Professor Dr. Mohamad Aizat Abas from USM. This
innovative project aims to enhance the efficiency of solar panel cleaning for Voltake’s solar
farms, ensuring optimized performance and maintenance of their solar panels.

Aligned with the objectives of PPRN, this collaboration emphasizes a strategic partnership
between the industry and academia to drive innovation, boost productivity, and contribute to
Malaysia’s economic growth through demand-driven research and development.

Distinguished guests at the event included Datuk Shafie Hj Kassim, Special Officer to the
Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia; Datuk Seri Dr. Mazlan Yusoff,
Secretary-General of KPT; Dr. Mohd Zabri Yusoff, Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) of KPT;
Professor Dato’ Dr. Husaini Omar, Director-General of Higher Education; and Professor Dr.
Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan, Vice-Chancellor of USM.

This 2021 partnership marks a significant milestone for Voltake Energy Services, showcasing
their commitment to leveraging innovation and research to drive advancements in renewable
energy and contribute to Malaysia’s sustainability goals.
