LV Chargeman

Job Description:
The LV Chargeman is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical systems at the facility. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of low voltage systems and a focus on safety standards and compliance with relevant regulations.

Reports to: Plant Manager/Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and distribution boards.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment up to 1kV.
- Conduct periodic preventive maintenance and safety inspections of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, including Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) requirements.
- Monitor and control electrical supply systems, including backup systems and generators.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fault reports, and repairs.
- Coordinate with the engineering team for system upgrades and improvements.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and outages.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Chargeman certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) – at least an AO or BO certification.
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in electrical maintenance and operations.
Skills:
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for new installations, renovations, and maintenance.
- Analyze project requirements and perform detailed electrical calculations and simulations.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding on electrical issues and ensure quick resolution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical regulations and standards.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend energy-saving solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the electrical engineering field.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power/solar/energy sector.
Skills:

The Intern will assist in various tasks depending on whether the placement is in Low Voltage (LV) operations or Headquarters (HQ). The role provides a valuable opportunity for learning in either technical maintenance or business operations functions, helping interns gain hands-on experience in their respective fields.
- For LV Chargeman: The focus will be on electrical system maintenance and safety protocols at the site.
- For HQ: The focus will be on office-based tasks like project management, data analysis, HR, or marketing, depending on the assigned department.

Department: Depends on Department (e.g., Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, Marketing, HR)
Reports to: Department Supervisor/Manager
Key Responsibilities:
For LV Chargeman Internship:
- Assist with inspecting and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Participate in preventive maintenance of low voltage systems (up to 1kV).
- Support the team in maintaining compliance with safety standards (OSHA).
- Help maintain records for electrical faults and repairs.
- Observe and assist during electrical emergencies and repairs under supervision.
For HQ-based Internship:
- Assist with daily operational tasks like data entry, report generation, or research.
- Participate in meetings and project discussions, contributing to ongoing initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements and strategy development.
